The 10th Annual Gardiner Memorial Basketball Classic: Another Year of Fun, Action and Support In the Bronx Community

Wow what a weekend. I am so pleased and incredibly proud to report that last weekend’s Gardiner Foundation Memorial Classic was a great success.

Our mission of helping keep kids off the streets through basketball was covered by the NY Post, WFAN, NY1, The Village Voice, Bronx News 12, Slam Magazine and others. I am so grateful for your contribution, and I wanted to write to thank you. We simply could not have done it without you.

To those who so generously contributed I cannot thank you enough.

For those who would like to contribute, it is not too late. If you are so inclined please write a check payable to Gardiner Foundation c/o Gersowitz Libo & Korek, 111 Broadway, New York, NY 10006. No amount is too small.

Please Help Support Our Bronx Community

If you haven’t yet, it is still not too late to donate to The Gardiner Foundation, as we operate year-round. Yes , we take great pride in running what will soon be regarded as the top street ball tournament in the City, but we are equally proud of our “Saturday Before Thanksgiving” turkey give away where once again we plan to distribute at our beloved St. James Park over 500 turkeys to families in need.

In addition, we will continue to run throughout the year our Tru-Talk program where we mentor local teenagers who face everyday challenges including gangs, violence, guns, unwanted pregnancy, and a host of other issues in ‘the hood”.

Checks can be made payable to The Gardiner Foundation, c/o Gersowitz Libo & Korek, P.C., 111 Broadway, 12th Floor, New York, New York 10006. The Gardiner Foundation is a New York State approved tax exempt 501(c)(3).

Again, thank you for all of your support.

Sincerely,

Jeff S. Korek
