The Gardiner Foundation, Inc., has provided scholarships for students entering their first year in college or preparatory school.

Naim Bligen

Naim is a Bronx resident and graduate of the A. Phillip Randolph Campus High School at City College.  He will pursue a career in robotics when he enrolls in the New York Institute of Technology’s School of Engineering and Computing Sciences this fall.  Naim was a member of the Engineering House Honors Program while in high school and demonstrated himself to be a high level thinker who is reliable, committed and motivated inside and outside the classroom.  He stands out among his peers for all the right reasons and will continue to do so throughout his college career.

Dominique Henderson

A resident of East Orange New Jersey, Dominique is a graduate of The Cicely L. Tyson Community School for Performing and Fine Arts and will enroll in Rider University this fall.  Dominique is described by her teachers as dynamic, trustworthy and self-motivated. While performing in Cicely Tyson’s Dance Ensemble she evolved as the model dance department member and looks forward to continuing to strive for excellence when she enters college in September.

Dajahn V. Myers

Dajahn graduated from Lehigh Senior High School in Lehigh Acres Florida and will enroll in Edison State College this fall where he will enroll in the Associate in Arts in General Studies Program. During his high school career Dajahn demonstrated exceptional standards, work ethic and leadership skills.  This young man’s positive outlook and sincerity will take him far as he pursues a career in dentistry.

Terrell Segre

A Bronx resident, Terrell will enroll in the Biological Sciences Program at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh this Fall.  There he will pursue a career as an optometrist or a pharmacologist.  As a student at Dewitt Clinton High School he was regarded as a young man of focus and perseverance. These characteristics helped him to pass his Advanced Placement exam in Biology, earn a score of 98% on his U.S. History Regents and will help him to fully invest himself in the pursuit of academic and personal achievement.

Scholarship Requirements

Students must meet the following  requirements in order to qualify for these scholarships:

 

1. Must have a 4 year high school transcript

 

2. Last Report Card

 

3. Write a letter to The Gardiner Foundation stating why you should receive this   scholarship

 

4. Letter of recommendation from Guidance Counselor, Dean or Principal

 

5. Must have a college acceptance letter

 

All information  must be received and postmarked no later than
